White Rabbit's Blueberry Preserve

DUE TO HEAVY FROST ON May 18, 2023, OUR BLUEBERRY CROP WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED. WE WONT HAVE BLUEBERRY PRESERVES AGAIN UNTIL AUGUST, 2024.

WE ARE SAVING OUR BLUEBERRIES FOR USE IN OUR TRIPLE BERRY PRESERVES AND PIES. SORRY TO DISAPPOINT!

We blend our own organically grown blueberries - varieties chosen to most resemble the tiny wild blueberries of New England - to make this tasty preserve.

We cook the berries with a little lemon juice and just enough sugar to ensure a soft set. We don't add any pectin or thickeners, so this preserve is bursting with whole berries in a rich, dark blueberry sauce, not a solid "gel." Since we use only half the amount of sugar as in a conventional jam, the flavor is more like a blueberry pie. Enjoy it spooned on waffles, pancake, crepes, or French toast; in hot and cold cereals; with ice cream, yogurt, or ricotta or cream cheese, and with toast and muffins.
