Lavender mustard was once quite a popular artisanal mustard in rural France, although it is largely unknown here.
Long beds of lavender on our sunny hillside provide the flavor for this aromatic treat, sweetened with a little wildflower honey. Best enjoyed simply with pretzels and hors d'oeuvres, it's also nice with crusty bread and cheese or blended into dipping sauce for vegetables.
